Vincent’s Birthday @ Tulane’s Alumni House
This performance on the morning of Sunday, January 12, is in celebration of one of our Board members, Vincent Ilustre. He has generously dedicated his 50th birthday as a fundraiser for NVNO, and so we should show our very best and brightest! We will meet at Tulane’s Alumni House and sing: “There’s a River Flowing in My Soul,” “If You Wanna Sing Out, Sing Out,” “Believe,” and “Basin Street Blues.” We will finish off with a special rendition of “Happy Birthday.”
MLK Shabbat @ Temple Sinai
On Friday evening, January 17, the Festival Chorus will join community members at Temple Sinai for a special service in celebration of MLK Day, 2025. At this evening service, we will sing “There’s a River Flowing in My Soul” and “I Can See Freedom” on our own, and join forces with all of the performers for “Ose Shalom” near the end of the service.
